Stupid expensive but it does come with extras and it's a super nice rail
First off this is the kit that comes with the rail, the handstop and mlok panels, gas block, a single qd swivel, a small armorer's wrench and all the hardware you'll need (mostly.) Unfortunately it doesn't come with instructions but it's pretty straightforward. The only thing I'll say is when you tighten the barrel nut be sure to use the deeper slots or it will slip off and damage the barrel nut. Ask me how I know. Fit and finish are top notch as I expected with it being a Griffin Armament product. Mine was missing a single screw that attaches the rail to the barrel nut but an email to Griffin Armament and it was shipped off to me free of charge that same day. I have several of their products with plans to buy more and their customer service is just one reason why. The rail feels good in the hand and the panels make it just the perfect size for me personally to grip it when shooting. I have to mount my 45 offset re dot on the rail right where the barrel nut is due to space and I didn't notice any poa poi shifts after shooting a few mags either which is nice. Now I just have to wait for the scope mount I want and RMR plate to come back in stock so I can get my 45 off the rail.
Nice product. Manufacturer's packaging could be better.
The handguard slipped out of the open-ended plastic sleeve it was in and got a little banged up against other parts inside the manufacturer's box. Dings were minor, but some were enough to create edges sharp enough to catch a cloth. Still seems like a very high quality product. Be advised, there is no anti-rotation feature. The manufacturer states it is not necessary since it would take ridiculous amount of force to rotate the handguard on the barrel nut, but this doesn't address the nut itself lacking a locking feature. I doubt it's an issue, but the original design uses the gas tube for this. If that bothers you, the design of the BCM MCMR addresses this and is an excellent product. That one is my favorite, but this handguard came in a better length for this project.
