Why 4140 Steel?

The original beta release specifically mentioned that printed versions had a short service life and that a future improvement could involve using metal for the portion that interacts with the bolt. FTA Tactical’s 4140 steel version follows that concept by using a material known for its strength, toughness, and excellent wear resistance.

Compared to PLA Pro, PA-CF, or other printed materials, 4140 steel offers significantly better durability, especially in areas exposed to repeated mechanical contact.
