than standard 8620 steel, this carrier is machined from hardened Premium 4340 Steel. The FM products 9mm
BCG is machined in a pre-hardened state, for improved tolerances post machining. A long duration salt bath
nitride finish is applied for a long service life and superior corrosion resistance.

My first foxtrot mike 9mm bolt.
I have several 9mm bolts 1 kak and 2 dirty bird and now this foxtrot mike. The fm9 bolt has the best look and feel but all of them have been reliable I figured I would try it since I've been happy with foxtrot mike products I've bought before.

Item shipped quickly and as expected. The BCG went right into the NBS upper I ordered a few months ago for the build with no issues. Can’t wait to get to the range.

Read the fine print!
Upper description implied it works with all 9mm builds, it will not work with Colt magazines, upper wouldn’t even close, so I’d did the only thing I know to do… start machining on it (buy the way it’s definitely hardened) started looking at other bolts and see they have different cuts on bottom and saw why it’s not clearing Colt mags. Not going to waste any more end mills, throwing this in the recycle pile and buying a BK, it appears to have the correct cuts. But it’s my stupidity, after reading at the very bottom is see a note that says compatible with rear/side charging fm9’s (readings so over rated) for folks like me, please place that at the very top. BTW- bolt seemed to be well made can’t fault it, Thanks

I built a Foxtrot Mike rear charging FM9. I had issues with reliable cycles. It appeared the firing pin was too short, but after trying a different manufacturer pin, the lengths were identical. This means the bolt itself was machined incorrectly. I contacted Foxtrot and informed them, but they denied any issues with their products. I will not buy another Foxtrot product again. Customer service should be a close second to First Time Quality. Check out these two bolts, both Foxtrot FM9’s. The good bolt was from a side charging handle, and the bad was from my rear charging handle. Even after sending the pics, Foxtrot denied any quality issues with their bolt. Buyer beware.

The weak firing pin can cause out of battery detonation. They've known it for years. Also, every version of the FM 9mm bcg gets lighter, which is not a good thing in an AR9. GET WITH IT FM..
