The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time, Gov’t and Pencil.
Proving that every once and awhile, the Government can do something right, the Gunner’s profile from the extension to the gas block mimics that well-known taper. From there, innovation takes over and the Gunner moves to a .750 gas block journal and our famed pencil profile out front.
Removing the weight from the front of the barrel ensures maximum versatility and keeps material to the rear to maximize heat resistance and mitigate whip.

Manufactured 100% in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, the Match Series starts with 416-R in 5R rifling. 5R is a hybrid rifling, with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles that reduces jacket deformation increasing velocity and easy cleaning. After rigorous testing, the barrels are Nitride treated inside and out, locking in the bore, improving barrel life, and keeping the elements at bay.
The extension is coated in Nickel Teflon which maintains incredible dry lubricity, corrosion resistance, and with the coating, tightens up fit between the extension and receiver – again improving upon accuracy. Combined, the Match Series of barrels are ready for when duty calls or the buzzer beeps with unrivaled performance value.

Great quality & Fast shipping
My overall experience is awesome. Reasonable price good discount, great quality and lighting fast shipping. Zeroed in my new build with this barrel at 50 yards 1/2moa with wolf ammo and even tighter with hornady black eld/sst.

The fit of the barrel extension into the receiver was perfectly tight. The gas block fit on nicely with a slip fit so minimal gas leakage is present. Ran the gun with a H3 buffer and runs flawless even with lower power Wolf ammo ejecting at 4 to 5 o'clock. It even shoots Wolf ammo at 1.5 MOA.

Faxon makes tremendous barrels, especially at this price point. Their gunner profile is also ideal, in my opinion. Beautiful finish and nitride process. Feed ramps is perfectly cut and has nickel teflon coating for slick unobstructed feeding. Target crown is cut ideally for precision. I've only had it at the indoor range at 25 yards, but demonstrated excellent accuracy there. I highly recommend this barrel.

I have been a fan of Faxon barrels for quite some time. I have two others, one in 5.56 and one in 6.5 Grendel, both rifle length. This one is for a pistol build that is not quite finished, but I have no doubt that it will perform as well as the others. It has been my experience that Faxon barrels give exceptional accuracy when installed on high quality uppers.
