Upgrade the grip and balance of your Springfield Prodigy with the Evolution Gun Works Fully Checkered Stainless Steel Mainspring Housing. Precision-machined from solid bar stock stainless steel and finished with a glassbead treatment, this premium replacement part delivers enhanced durability and a professional appearance that complements stainless steel builds.

Key Features

• Fully checkered 25 LPI texture for superior traction and control during rapid fire or holster draws
• Solid stainless steel construction machined from bar stock for exceptional strength and longevity compared to factory polymer parts
• Added weight distribution shifts balance toward the grip for improved recoil management and faster follow-up shots
• Glassbead finish provides a smooth, non-reflective surface that resists corrosion
• Drop-in compatibility designed specifically for the standard Springfield Prodigy grip module

Benefits for Shooters

The stock mainspring housing on many 1911-style pistols like the Prodigy is lightweight polymer, which can feel unsubstantial and offer minimal grip texture. This EGW upgrade solves those issues by delivering a substantial stainless steel component with aggressive checkering that enhances purchase without being overly aggressive on the skin. The increased mass also helps tame muzzle flip, making controlled shooting more intuitive for competitive or defensive use.
