How It Works

Proper muzzle device timing is essential for consistent suppressor alignment, reduced point-of-impact shift, and reliable lockup. The Dead Air shim kit eliminates guesswork by providing graduated thicknesses that allow you to dial in the exact rotation needed when the device is fully torqued. Always start with the thickest shim against the barrel shoulder, then add or combine thinner shims as required.

Specifications

• Shim thicknesses: 0.004″, 0.006″, and 0.060″
• Markings: One notch (0.004″), two notches (0.006″), no notch (0.060″)
• Quantities: Four 0.004″ shims, five 0.006″ shims, one 0.060″ shim
• Material: High-quality alloy steel for durability and precision
• Thread compatibility: 1/2-28 for 5.56 and 5/8-24 for 7.62

Why Choose the Dead Air Muzzle Device Shim Kit

Unlike peel washers or crush washers that offer limited adjustability and can compromise concentricity, these precision shims provide clean, repeatable timing that maintains barrel-to-device alignment. This results in better suppressor performance, reduced wear, and confidence that your setup is indexed correctly every time you reinstall the device. Ideal for competitive shooters, tactical professionals, and enthusiasts who demand accuracy and reliability from their firearms accessories.

Upgrade your muzzle device installation process with the Dead Air Muzzle Device Shim Kit and experience the difference that precision engineering makes in your shooting setup.
