Fantastic Rail (RIS-III)
I love everything about the RIS-III rail. True to Daniel Defense's promise of being able to swap from the RIS-II to the RIS-III without having to remove the barrel nut, I was able to take the old RIS-II rail off my DD M4A1 and use the existing rear plate to fasten the RIS-III rail down. Which was a BIG time saver compared to requiring a complete removal of the barrel nut. In terms of fit and finish, the RIS-III M-LOK rail is far and away the sturdiest M-LOK rail I have ever owned. There is no bending or warping whatsoever when attaching accessories (foregrip, flashlight, etc.) to the rail. Separately, I really love that the internal diameter is wider than the old RIS-II rail. I believe the RIS-III offers like 1.38in internal diameter while the RIS-II offers a mere 1.25in. Making the RIS-III far more compatible with aftermarket barrel and gas block swaps. Needless to say I highly recommend the RIS-III rail, and I also want to thank ar15discounts.com for another great purchasing experience. The RIS-III rail was in stock, as the company advertised and the package arrived right on time.
