The Counter Assault 10.2 oz. Bear Spray with Holster contains 2% Capsaicin and related Capsaicinoids (the maximum allowed by Big Brother) and will spray its its atomized pepper spray up to 40 feet away and for a duration of eight seconds. Due to its non-lethal nature, bear spray is legal pretty much anywhere sane people are in power. Even if you travel well armed with firearms and cutlery, you may want Counter Assault with you for those cases where an attacker does not legally or morally deserve deadly force. Or, you may be of a character that does not want to harm man or beast even if under attack. Or you may be of limited strength or skill and this is pretty much the only weapon you are able to wield. Use your imagination and many examples will occur to you where Counter Assault is suitable.
The holster is a key component of the Counter Assault carry system. The holster permits Counter Assault to be worn rather than borne like a holstered sidearm. When holstered, you will be more likely to have Counter Assault with you when you need it. You will always have both hands free for other tasks while wearing Counter Assault. Carrying Counter Assault in a holster rather than in the hands is far less provocative and will not alarm others or disturb the peace. Holstering Counter Assault and taking your hands off the canister greatly reduces the chances of spraying accidentally or dropping Counter Assault and causing a discharge. The holster also lets you secure your Counter Assault in your vehicle.
