Anderson upper- BLEMISHED
Was happy to find a $45 slick side upper on this website. So I ordered it. I am disappointed to discover that it’s pretty badly marred/damaged on the buffer end of the reciever. And they covered the deep gouges with a different type of black finish, and sold me a blemished upper. This is not a knock on anderson. This website took a blemished upper and sold it to me as a brand new anderson upper... also. Didn’t come in anderson original packaging. not happy. They spent a lot of effort doctoring that blemished upper to try and pass it off on some un-detailed cuck... clearly spray painted. Clearly damaged. If they don’t fix this, that’s it for me and this website.

Inexpensive, Lightweight Upper
Anderson Sport upper receivers are a high value option when building a lightweight hunting, competition, or recreational firearm. InRangeTV mud tests demonstrate the omission of a port cover is not a concern with the AR platform, and thumb pressure on the carrier serves the function of a forward assist adequately. Machining isn’t the best on these receivers, with tool marks and chatter here and there, but the surfaces that count are well finished and entirely serviceable.

Works fine, didnt realize there was no dust cover, but thats my fault. Would recommend. Anderson makes great mil-spec parts that are affordable. These parts are where i tend to save money
Good fit for my 9mm build
The upper had a couple little blemishes from shipping is my guess but they were hardly noticable. Fit my Anderson lower easily and just makes me one step closer to finishing my 9mm pistol build

Quality
Anderson gets a bad rep at times for being of lower quality simply because of the name. I was doing another build and decided to try their upper w/o the forward assist and its doing its job.. it’s had roughly 700 rounds through it so far and it looks and is holding up perfectly fine.. plan on grabbing a few more
