Criterion Barrels 20" .308 M118 Hybrid Nitride Rifle Length Barrel 1:11 Twist - 1020S-HYR-N

The .308 barrels designed by Criterion Barrels Inc. are designed to be compatible with a variety of rifle patterns such as DPMS, Remington, Bushmaster, and ADM. Not only are the hybrid profile barrels compatible with the popular receiver styles, they feature a M118 LR match grade chamber which allows the use of both 7.62×51 NATO and .308 Win. Ammunition. This AR-10 barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with a Nitride finish inside and out. The Nitride process changes the surface properties of the bore, resulting in a hard and smooth surface with no negative side effects to accuracy. The Hybrid profile combines the accuracy benefits of a heavy barrel but tapers towards the muzzle to reduce weight. This 20” .308 AR barrel is button rifled with a 1:11 twist rate and has a rifle length gas system. Build your dream AR-10 with the Criterion .308 barrel.

Features:

• 20” barrel with M118 LR chamber
• 416R stainless steel with Nitride finish
• Hybrid barrel contour
• 1:11 button rifled twist
• Rifle length gas system with .750” diameter
• Dimpled beneath the gas port

The rifle length gas system on this barrel has a .750” gas block diameter and features a dimple beneath the gas port for installing a set screw style gas block. This simple addition helps to lock the gas block down and ensures it won’t move while shooting. Criterion designs their gas system lengths to accommodate DPMS standard AR-15 gas tubes. This Criterion Hybrid barrel is built to withstand years of heavy use while providing exceptional accuracy.

Criterion Barrels are known for building high quality, precision AR-15 and AR-10 barrels as well as barrels for older firearms like the M1 Garand, M14, and Lee Enfield.
